EXPANSION NEWS

An exciting new opportunity is in the future for UBCCC!  The University is renovating our South Campus building and expanding our North Campus site, so we can continue to grow and serve our families and children.

On the South Campus, the infrastructure of the Butler annex buildings will be upgraded.  Improvements include replacing existing windows, the exterior walls and roof, upgrading fire alarm and electrical systems and creating new entries as well as a new connector between the buildings.  The project will result in a more beautiful exterior and an esthetically pleasing interior.

To minimize disruption to the lives of our children from construction noise and dust, the South Campus program will move out of the buildings during the 8-12 month construction period.  Construction to expand our North Campus center to make room for the South Campus program is nearly complete.   The expansion will result in spacious new classrooms and common spaces at our North Campus center, as well as improvements to the current classrooms.  The North Campus center will be filled with natural light, have more room for gross motor play for all ages, and will have a separate staff room. After the South Campus program returns to the renovated buildings on South Campus, we will have additional classrooms on the North Campus and will be able to provide care to more UB families.  The end result of this project will be safer, more beautiful and spacious buildings with room for growth.
